Description
My journey started on this project when I realised that the original D&D character sheet was rather lacklustre in terms of ease of use and aesthetics, I went about re-designing the whole thing.
Firstly the layout, it had to be more logical, so firstly I aligned all of the skill scores alongside the abilities that they use. Secondly, I cleaned up the ease of use for saving throws, proficieny, death saves and so on, making it as quick as a dot on the page to add to your proficiency bonus, or count that final stabilising death save. In addition to this, I also developed a new way of marking down abilities or spell slots, with a triangle that can be shaded to denote how many uses you’ve unlocked, above a circle that can be dotted when you’ve consumed one of them.
There is ample space for different weaponry, easily viewed attack and damage bonuses, inventory, character design and back story, notes and more.
It’s an almost entirely comprehensive redesign and I’m really proud of the simplicity of the layout, hopefully in the future making it easier and less daunting for new players to fill out their character sheets.
